Position Overview
Teachers at HCA play a vital role in both the academic and spiritual development of students. This position is more than teaching - it is a calling to disciple, lead, and model Christ-like character daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging instruction using BJU Press curriculum
- Assess student progress and provide timely, meaningful feedback
- Maintain a structured, positive, and well-managed classroom environment
- Provide spiritual leadership through daily devotions and Christian Studies instruction
- Communicate consistently and professionally with parents
- Collaborate with staff and participate in meetings, trainings, and school events
- Maintain accurate and organized records (attendance, grades, reports)
Qualifications Required
- A personal profession of faith in Jesus Christ
- A lifestyle that reflects Christian values and a commitment to biblical principles
- Agreement with the school’s statement of faith and mission
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- A heart for working with students and partnering with families
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree (completed or currently in progress)
- Previous teaching experience
- Familiarity with Christian curriculum (BJU, Abeka, or similar)
Schedule/Breaks
- Schedule: classroom teaching positions are full-time
- School-year calendar with holidays and breaks (170 school days)

- Natural, modest makeup
- Female teachers: skirts or dresses
- Male teachers: pants with collared shirts or polos

Pay: From $30,000.00 per year
