You’ll split your time between two vibrant elementary schools, where your expertise will be essential in fostering positive student outcomes and helping to build stronger school communities.
Your qualifications:
- Active Illinois PEL with Social Worker endorsement (required)
- Experience working in an educational setting, preferably elementary level
- Solid knowledge of child development, crisis intervention, and community resources
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Dedication to professional ethics, confidentiality, and equity
- Ability to balance caseloads and travel between two nearby schools
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect social work services to students and families
- Conduct group and individual counseling sessions to support emotional and social growth
- Partner with teachers, staff, and families to identify student needs and implement interventions
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
- Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and collaborate on the development of IEP/504 plans
- Connect families with community agencies and resources
- Maintain accurate records and comprehensive documentation
