Aging Services Specialist
Location: Remote (Pennsylvania) Must live in Bucks, Northampton, Montgomery, Chester, Delaware, and Philadelphia Counties.
Reporting Location: Harrisburg, PA (Equipment pickup required; quarterly onsite meetings)
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Lunch: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM)
Position Overview
The assigned coverage area includes Bucks, Northampton, Montgomery, Chester, Delaware, and Philadelphia Counties. While this is a remote position, the selected candidate must report to Harrisburg, PA for equipment pickup and attend onsite meetings on a quarterly basis. Infrequent travel throughout the assigned region is required, with occasional statewide and overnight travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct onsite and remote monitoring of Aging programs and services within the assigned geographic region.
- Ensure Area Agencies on Aging comply with policies, procedures, and program standards.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Aging programs and effectively communicate policies and procedures to:
- Area Agencies on Aging
- Pennsylvania Department of Aging staff
- Consumers and family members
- Public entities
- Utilize WellSky/A&D and other technology systems to conduct monitoring activities and document findings.
- Prepare detailed reports and correspondence related to monitoring activities and program performance.
- Review and monitor Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) to ensure compliance.
- Evaluate program operations and recommend opportunities for improvement.
- Provide technical assistance and quality assurance guidance to Area Agencies on Aging.
- Interpret Aging policies, regulations, and procedures.
- Participate in the development of educational materials and policy initiatives.
- Represent the Department on committees, workgroups, task forces, and at public meetings.
- Deliver presentations and communicate Department objectives to internal and external stakeholders.
- Complete special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other computer-based applications.
- Ability to quickly learn and utilize program-specific systems, including WellSky/A&D.
- Flexibility to manage changing priorities and multiple assignments.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently throughout the assigned region, including occasional overnight travel.
Work Environment
- Remote position with required travel throughout the assigned Pennsylvania counties.
- Initial equipment pickup in Harrisburg, PA.
- Quarterly onsite meetings in Harrisburg.
- Frequent field visits to Area Agencies on Aging and provider locations.
