The State of New Hampshire, Department of Health & Human Services, Healthcare Facilities, Glencliff Home has a full-time vacancy for a Cosmetologist.
Summary:
Offers hair care and beauty services to all residents in order to facilitate positive self-image
YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience: Equivalent combination of 2 years of education and experience after completion of high school. Education and experience must be in cosmetology.
License/Certification: Valid Cosmetology license from the New Hampshire Board of Barbering and Cosmetology.

Responsibilities:
Schedules individual resident hair care to prevent conflicts with other appointments, trips and schedules.
Analyzes scalp condition of all residents to ensure proper hair care: Records hair care treatment and procedures to maintain accurate resident files.
Communicates with nursing staff concerning conditions of residents’ scalps to promote consistency of care.
Maintains clean and sanitary environment to maximize health standards.
Provides individual hair care, including barbering and other self-image services to nurture resident self-esteem.
Reports to supervisor with information regarding significant changes in resident interactions and/or care to determine plan of action.
Requisitions shop supplies, linen and equipment.
