Bright Room Electric is a growing electrical company serving the Chicagoland area, and we're looking for an experienced, motivated, and professional Service Electrician / Installer to join our team.
This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys working directly with homeowners, and can confidently diagnose electrical issues, present solutions, and complete installations independently.
Responsibilities
- Run residential service calls in a company-provided work van.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems.
- Provide customers with professional recommendations and estimate additional work when needed.
- Sell electrical services and upgrades with honesty and integrity.
- Complete installations safely, efficiently, and according to NEC and local codes.
- Work independently on most jobs and lead a helper/apprentice when assigned.
- Maintain a clean, organized work vehicle and job site.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and represent Bright Room Electric professionally.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of residential electrical experience (preferred).
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Experience with service upgrades, panel replacements, lighting, outlets, EV chargers, dedicated circuits, and general residential electrical work.
- Some commercial electrical experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Comfortable explaining repairs and recommending solutions to customers.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional appearance.
