Responsibilities
- Implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social development
- Create a safe, clean, and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and independence
- Observe and document each child's progress, interests, and needs to tailor activities accordingly
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and team members through clear communication and teamwork
- Maintain compliance with licensing regulations and health & safety standards at all times
- Support children's emotional well-being by providing comfort, reassurance, and encouragement
- Assist with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, diapering, and transitions
Experience
- Prior experience working with young children in a daycare or preschool setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong understanding of child development principles and age-specific needs
- Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to remain energetic, patient, attentive, and adaptable in a dynamic environment
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is an asset; willingness to obtain certification upon hire is required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
