Job Overview
As a Parts Storage Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient management and distribution of tools and equipment within our facility. Your energetic approach will help maintain an organized tool crib, support our team’s operational needs, and contribute to the overall success of our supply chain management. You’ll be at the forefront of inventory control, purchasing, and logistics, ensuring that all tools are readily available to meet production demands.
What you’ll do
- Manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of tools and equipment within the tool crib.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accurate stock levels and assist in demand planning.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing tool availability.
- Collaborate with procurement to source tools and parts.
- Implement process improvements for efficient stocking and order fulfillment.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends in tool usage and optimize inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards while handling materials and operating forklifts.
- Assist in shipping and receiving operations as needed to support logistics functions.
Basic qualifications
- Experience in warehouse management or a related field.
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in computers.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as AS400 for inventory management.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the role.
Preferred qualifications
- Background in supply chain analytics or financial modeling related to inventory control.
- Knowledge of e-commerce practices and retail management principles.
- Experience with sourcing, supplier management, or merchandising strategies.
