Join our dynamic team as a Local Commercial Owner Operator CDL Driver specializing in intermodal and container transportation. Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailers with manual or automatic transmission, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of freight, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials.
- Manage intermodal container movements, including securing, and transporting containers to various destinations.
- Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules and ensure timely arrivals across regional routes.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance to ensure trucks meet safety standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with a clean driving record; experience operating tractor-trailers preferred.
- Proven experience with intermodal containers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or hazardous materials transportation.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for truck driving.
- Demonstrated ability to handle freight manually and operate various types of commercial trucks including manual transmission vehicles.
- Experience with route driving across regional routes using GPS navigation systems for efficient delivery planning.
- Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling and safety standards for dangerous goods.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service excellence.
