About the Role
Opa Tempe Bar & Grill is looking for an energetic and motivated Catering Sales & Event Coordinator to help grow our catering and group event business.
This position is ideal for someone interested in sales, marketing, hospitality, event planning, customer service, or entrepreneurship. You'll work directly with business owners while helping organize and execute catering orders ranging from office lunches and university events to private parties and corporate gatherings.
This is a hands-on role that combines sales, event coordination, and administrative responsibilities. While some office work is required for client communication, scheduling, and managing event details, this is not a work-from-home position. You'll be actively building relationships, generating leads, coordinating events, and helping create memorable guest experiences both in the office and out in the community.
What You'll Do
- Generate and follow up on catering leads
- Contact local businesses, schools, and organizations
- Prepare catering proposals and quotes
- Coordinate event details with clients
- Assist with catering setup and execution
- Build relationships with repeat catering customers
- Help promote Opa catering through community outreach
- Track leads and sales activity in our CRM system
- Work with management to develop sales and marketing initiatives
