Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide trauma-informed care to individuals with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will support daily living activities while promoting dignity, independence, and meaningful community inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and supervision to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Collaborate with supervisors, team members, families, and external providers
- Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold individual rights at all times
- Implement goals outlined in Individual Service Plans (ISP/IHP/Plan of Care)
- Accurately collect and document progress data
- Support positive behaviors and development of life skills
- Assist with personal hygiene, daily routines, and overall functioning
- Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment
- Follow and implement behavior support plans as directed
- Attend required trainings, meetings, and professional development sessions
- Administer medications (if trained and authorized)
- Provide First Aid/CPR in emergency situations
- Complete incident reports in accordance with agency guidelines
- Transport individuals to appointments and community activities as needed
- Follow all agency policies, safety procedures, and emergency protocols
- Assist with meals and dietary needs when applicable
- Support participation in community outings and scheduled activities
- Communicate updates, concerns, and observations to supervisors
Qualifications & Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Medication Administration certification (if applicable)
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Bloodborne Pathogens and Safety Training
- Individual Rights training
- Behavior Management / NCI certification (as required)

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
