Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems, ensuring adherence to NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute wiring and system layouts.
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and low-voltage connections safely on construction sites or renovation projects.
- Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify issues within complex electrical systems.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting to resolve system faults efficiently while maintaining safety procedures.
- Follow all electrical safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents or hazards during installation or repair work.
- Collaborate with team members and project managers to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Journeyman with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical work.
- Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and blueprints reading skills essential for accurate installation.
- Knowledge of local electrical codes, NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 compliance standards, and safety procedures.
- Experience working with industrial electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and high-voltage wiring.
- Skilled in troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters.
- Ability to work on construction sites or renovation projects with hands-on experience in construction or handyman work preferred.
- Familiarity with low voltage systems, electrical wiring techniques, blueprint reading, and electrical schematics reading.
- Strong commitment to safety procedures combined with excellent problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
