We are looking for a Material Handler to help organize our storage areas, maintain our inventory and prepare material / hardware for production. Your main job will be to prepare and fulfil work orders for the production process, which will include cutting plastic material down on a table saw or panel saw. The Material Handler position is a critical part of our process. You should have great attention to detail to maintain accurate records. Some physical strength is required since you may often need to lift material by hand. If you’re reliable and fast on your feet, we’d like to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Check incoming deliveries to make sure all ordered material meets quality standards
- Help load and unload packages
- Organize stock in the most efficient way using forklift or pallet jack.
- Receive and check incoming material / hardware
- Pull material / hardware to fulfil production requirements
- Monitor and verify inventory levels as needed
- Document orders, materials and any stock movements
Skills
- Proven experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate or similar position
- Familiarity with use of table saw
- Experience in using warehouse equipment (e.g. forklifts, pallet jacks)
- Strong communication skills
- Dexterity and attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Willing to work thru Temp Service for 45 days
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
- Ability to operate forklifts
- Availability to work overtime
- High school diploma
