Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused cafe attendant to join our team. As an Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and ensuring a clean and organized environment. If you have a passion for food service and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you. This will be a flexible schedule with morning and afternoon shifts, must be able to work every Saturday and Sunday.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take customer orders and process payments using the POS system
- Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and counters
- Stock supplies and replenish inventory as needed
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and following recipes
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues or complaints
- Promote sales by upselling menu items and offering special promotions
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred
- Familiarity with sales techniques and retail math is beneficial
- Understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic culinary skills are desirable but not required
- Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods of time
