LA PLAGE WESTPORT IS SEEKING SEVERS
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Servers to join the front of house team at La Plage Westport, located at the Inn at Longshore in Westport, CT
Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and professionally.
- Present menus and answer questions regarding menu items, ingredients, and daily specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and according to company standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal and address concerns promptly.
- Process guest payments accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned tables, dining areas, and service stations.
- Assist with opening and closing side work.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and fellow team members.
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, promotions, and beverage selections.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Previous serving experience preferred but not required.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
- Must be able to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and carry trays safely.
