Design Assistant Position Overview
We are seeking someone who is enthusiastic, collaborative, and eager to learn. You’ll work closely with our design and project management teams to support ongoing residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate is hands-on, creative, and brings administrative, billing experience along with CAD and 3D rendering to the table. This role is a great opportunity for recent graduates who want to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced, design-focused contracting environment.
Key Responsibilities
-Assist in the development of design concepts for residential and commercial spaces
-Attend measuring appointments and assist in measuring for development of floor plans
-Create and/or modify CAD drawings for use in floorplans, RCP's, presentations and construction documentation
-Produce and/or edit 3D renderings, mood boards and visualizations to support design intent
-Participate in design reviews and team meetings
-Collaborate with design and project management teams throughout the project lifecycle
-Help source, procure and QC materials, finishes, and furnishings
-Visit projects on an as-needed basis to oversee project install/development-Create status updates/reports for team or clients
-Administrative tasks such as scheduling, change orders and client coordination
-Billing coordinator, accounts receivable, and invoice processing
What We’re Looking For
-Must have a car-Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD, Rhino, or similar platforms)
-Experience with 3D rendering software (SketchUp, V-Ray, Lumion, Enscape, etc.)
-Experience in Quickbooks or similar online billing management
-Experience with Programa, Buildertrend or similar platforms for project management
-A solution oriented attitude and high level of attention to detail
-Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a team-oriented environment
-Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field

Pay: $55,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
