We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Barback and Busser. In this dynamic role, you will be the backbone of our bar operations, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient environment that supports our bartenders and enhances the guest experience. Your proactive approach to cleaning, bussing, and food service support will keep our venue running smoothly and safely. Responsibilities
- Assist bartenders by restocking supplies such as garnishes, glassware, and beverages to ensure seamless service.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including bar cleaning, wiping down surfaces, and sanitizing equipment regularly.
- Buss tables and clear empty glasses or dishes promptly to keep the venue tidy and inviting.
- Support food preparation tasks as needed, including handling ingredients safely and assisting with basic food prep.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, cleaning equipment, or trash disposal in accordance with safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with food service bar safety regulations by following proper sanitation procedures.
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or venue beverage service is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of bar experience including bar cleaning, food industry standards, and catering or banquet experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and interact positively with guests.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar technology for order processing.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment like restaurants or catering events is advantageous.
- Commitment to food service bar safety compliance and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
