Overview
Oversees development and analysis of organizational plans and metrics to identify, manage, and direct resources supporting the SOCOM Information Environment (SIE). Advises on and integrates IT industry best practices into the current environment.
Essential duties
- Lead analysis of organizational plans, metrics, and resource direction for SIE mission priorities
- Analyze federal/DoD strategies for implications to USSOCOM, Components, and TSOCs
- Advise on process improvement and best-practice integration
- Support SIE Management Framework (charters, boards/WGs, process maps)
- Facilitate steering/working group admin (agendas, slides, VTCs)
- Support CCE/DDIL working groups, NetOps status monitoring, and leadership battle rhythm as assigned
Education
- Required: Bachelor's degree
- Substitution: Relevant experience performing SOW §3.4 functions for a Government agency in lieu of formal education
Years of experience (recommended)
- 7–10+ years operations analysis, IT strategy, or organizational planning
- 3+ years in DoD/SOF or large enterprise IT environments
Skills & knowledge
- Metrics development, process mapping, governance frameworks
- Strategic/tactical planning; briefing senior leaders
- Working group facilitation; SharePoint/portal content
- Familiarity with NetOps, CCE/DDIL, or SIE concepts preferred
- Advanced Excel / PowerPoint / data visualization
Certifications
- Preferred: ITIL, Lean Six Sigma, or similar process credentials
Security & other requirements
- Active TOP SECRET; TS/SCI preferred
- On-site; travel as approved
