Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service through active communication and friendly phone etiquette
- Operate the cash register accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges while handling cash and card transactions with integrity
- Upsell products by recommending complementary items during checkout to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Stock shelves efficiently by receiving deliveries, organizing products, and ensuring merchandise is visually appealing through effective merchandising techniques
- Conduct product demos when appropriate to educate customers about new or featured items
- Assist in maintaining store cleanliness and organization, including performing regular inventory counts and stock replenishment
- Support product placement and promotional displays to maximize sales opportunities
Skills
- Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette for engaging with shoppers both in person and over the phone
- Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for retail math calculations such as totals, discounts, and inventory counts
- Knowledge of merchandising principles and stocking procedures to keep the store organized and inviting
- Enthusiastic about product demos, upselling, and creating an engaging shopping experience that encourages repeat visits
