We are excited to be searching for a full time oil change tech for the Award Winning Newton Costa Oil 10-Minute Oil Change.

This is for a full time position, 30-40 hours (variable), depending on season, etc. You work hand in hand with the shop manager. You will have every Sunday and one more day per week off. You MUST be available Fridays and Saturdays.
We will train any applicants that are customer service driven, have a great attitude, and work well in a team environment!
If hired, the first day of employment would be within the next week.
Our Oil Change Technicians are the face of the company and we need them to be motivated, detail oriented, and strive for excellent customer service every single time. As an Oil Change Tech you will be responsible for changing oil & filters on customers vehicles while maintaining a high level of customer service. You MUST be able to follow steps in a procedure.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Changing oil & filters while following set procedures
- Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work area
- Inspects engines for leaks
- Tops off fluid
- Diagnose issues on vehicles and recommends repair to customers as needed
- Ensures all equipment is in working order
- Completes all required computer-based and hands on training in the allotted timeframe, final exam is required
- Comply with all laws and regulations pertaining to hazardous materials
- Understand federal, state and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
- Holding the highest level of customer service and maintaining a positive attitude with customers at all times
- Contribute to a positive culture and work environment, which includes downtime task completion
Minimum Requirements
- MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
- Reliability (show up, communicate needs, provide coverage for team members)
- Experience in a fast past environment
- Customer service background preferred
- Ability to use a point of sale system is required
- Must be accountable, flexible, coachable and a team player
Working Environment:
The store has spaces that are only accessible by stairwells. The tech must be able to do the following:
- lift a minimum of 20lbs
- Use stairs multiple times per day
- Use tools effectively
- Work in hot and cold weather
- Uniforms are required (Shirts and hats are provided)
Pay: $14.50-16.00 per hour depending on experience level
Schedule:
- Day shifts ( Shop hours are 9-6 M-F and 9-4 on Saturdays) Likely schedule is Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturdays with a few hours on Tuesday. Sundays and Wednesdays off
- Approximately 30-40 hours per week
- Friday and/or Saturday availability is a MUST
Education:
- High school or equivalent
