Job Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and customer-focused Retail Store Associate to join our team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product selections, providing detailed product demos when necessary.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and processing credit/debit payments.
- Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales and improve customer satisfaction.
- Maintain organized merchandise displays through effective merchandising and stocking practices.
- Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock, replenishing shelves, and assisting with stockroom organization.
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
- Support cashiering duties by balancing registers and handling cash transactions responsibly.
- Assist in supervising team members during shifts, ensuring adherence to store policies and excellent customer service standards.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve overall store performance.
Requirements
- Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
- Strong communication skills in both verbal and written formats; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Experience in supervising or leading team members is advantageous.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory management.
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and stock management practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts such as sales calculations, discounts, and profit margins.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A proactive attitude towards upselling, product demos, and enhancing the shopping experience.
