Responsible for the proper operation of all heating, air conditioning, ventilation and utilities needed for a well maintained and safe Power Plant operation. Performs duties responsibilities a manner consistent with our mission and values.
Principle Accountabilities: % Of Time Spent
1. Responsible for the operation of the power plant and entire fourth floor and all mechanical equipment throughout the complex. 15%
2. Responsible for the hospital maintenance in the absence of the Asst. Director and the Supervisor of Plant Operations. 15%
3. Perform duties describe in Fire and Disaster plans. 10%
4. Make adjustments to equipment as necessary to maintain the equipment within safe operating conditions. 10%
5. Makes adjustments to chiller units as necessary to maintain proper temperature control. 10%
6. Lubricates equipment as necessary. 10%.
7. Maintains the power plant in a clean and orderly condition, being particularly alert to safety hazards to prevent employee injury and equipment damage. 10%
8. Activates valves as necessary to keep them in good working condition. 10%
9. Performs all other duties as assigned. 10%

Employee is required to sit continuously and walk occasionally. Employee must lift/carry a light (1-20 lbs.) medium (21-50 lbs.) and heavy (50 lbs. +) load frequently. Employee may be required to lift over 100 lbs. with assistance. Employee is frequently required to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, climb, lift waist to overhead. Employee is occasionally required to reach forward and reach overhead. For repetitive action, employee is required to use both hands for simple grasping and pushing/pulling. Employee is occasionally exposed to electrical hazards and CRT terminal work. 1. High school graduate or equivalent. 2. Current 1st Class Stationary Engineer's license (St. Louis, MO.) required 3. Moderate degree of manual and finger dexterity and mechanical ability to operate and maintain equipment.
