As a Hair Stylist, you will deliver exceptional hair styling, coloring, and grooming services while providing outstanding customer care. Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of hair services including cuts, styling, coloring, extensions, and treatments with precision and artistry
- Consult with clients to understand their desired look and recommend suitable styles or products based on their hair type and preferences
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations
- Use salon software such as Glosgenius to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process transactions efficiently
- Stay current on the latest trends in hair styling, coloring techniques, and beauty products to provide innovative solutions. Continuing education provided.
- Assist with retail sales by upselling hair care products, styling tools, and accessories that meet client needs
- Have fun! Great community of other independent businesses in the building.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of hair extensions, color theory, and advanced styling techniques
- Trustworthiness as you would work independently in the space.
- Skilled in the use of tools such as straight razors, curling irons, blow dryers, and other styling equipment
- Strong understanding of sanitation practices for safe salon operations
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build lasting client relationships.
- Retail sales expertise with retail math skills for upselling products effectively
- 3+ years experience required.
