About This Role
Teach a range of courses in science, social studies, pre-engineering, mathematics, coding, and the application of scientific techniques to solve problems and situations using an APB approach. Support an inclusive elementary microschool's instructional staff.
What You'll Do

Evaluate and grade students' work, assignments, and papers in STEM classes.

Deliver engaging lectures to students on algebra, geometry, coding, pre-engineering skills, and STEM history/social studies.

Prepare and distribute course materials, such as syllabi, homework, and handouts.

Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documents.

Lead inclusive classroom discussions and foster a collaborative learning environment.

Recommend and select materials and supplies, such as literature supporting STEM topics.

Connect academic and vocational curricula to real-world career issues.

Work with colleagues to address teaching and research challenges.

Participate in academic and administrative committees addressing institutional policies, departmental matters, and academic issues.

Contribute to student recruitment, registration, and placement efforts.

Participate in campus and community events to promote the school and engage with the community.

Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and technological advancements in STEM and education by reading current literature, discussing with colleagues, and attending professional conferences.
Requirements
-
High School Diploma or Associate's Degree in Education, Math, Science, Engineering, History, Sociology

New graduates are welcome to apply

1-2 years of experience in elementary and/or middle school education, including verified internships

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Proficiency in Google & Microsoft Office, with Canva being a plus
