Job Title – Payroll Specialist
Location – San Diego, CA 92111
Duration – 6+ months contract position, with the possibility of extension
Shift Time – 7:30am-4pm, Mon-Fri

Payroll Specialists perform a full range of payroll functions, working independently & efficiently to process paychecks in accordance with all applicable federal, state & local requirements, as well as related policies. Significant interaction with Human Resources staff, as well as Department Managers & other staff, & employees.
Requirements
- H.S Diploma, GED or Equivalent
- 3 years of experience in employee payroll processing and reimbursements in compliance with all applicable Federal, State & Local laws & regulations
- Experience with Payroll Processing for multiple shifts and job types
- PeopleSoft experience in a high-volume healthcare environment
- Knowledge of Federal Form W-2 Reporting Requirements
- Experience with Automated Time and Attendance Systems (API experience is a plus)
