Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong background in kitchen operations, with experience in fine dining, catering, or restaurant environments. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient sourcing to ensure freshness and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage
- Ensure all food safety regulations are followed during food preparation and service
- Collaborate with team members to deliver timely and efficient service during busy periods
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
- Support catering events and special functions as needed
- Serve dishes with attention to presentation, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Uphold high standards of hygiene, safety, and sanitation throughout all kitchen activities
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with menu planning, fine dining, or catering is preferred
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required
- Previous experience in the food service industry, including serving or kitchen work, is advantageous
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; prior restaurant experience is highly valued
