The Clinic Resource Nurse is a licensed professional who provides comprehensive care and education to patients of the Cardiology Clinic in accordance with the standards, policies, and practices of Enloe Health and Wellness Northstate Cardiology. The Clinic Resource Nurse collaborates with the patient, family, and physician to plan, organize, coordinate, and monitor the provision of quality, effective healthcare services and resources to promote optimal clinical, financial, and patient satisfaction outcomes.
The primary role of this position is to serve as the RN supervising exercise stress testing, stress echocardiography, pharmacological stress echocardiography, and stress radionuclide cardiac imaging. The education, training, and support provided by the Resource Nurse are designed to help patients safely complete diagnostic testing to assess cardiac health and determine whether additional testing or intervention is needed. In addition, the Resource Nurse provides education on cardiac conditions and disease management strategies to promote optimal outcomes and quality of life.
Must demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgment, and effective communication skills. Must be able to interact professionally with physicians, staff, patients, families, and the public. Must demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of patients and families and be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
This position requires the ability to oversee RN treadmill stress testing and the appropriate administration of medications. The position also requires completion of training in the supervision of exercise testing, including participation in at least 25 supervised procedures during training or prior experience supervising exercise testing. Pay: $53.05 - $71.62 per hour
