Become a part of the team at the unique new downtown dining experience that is Phed Phed Thai Eatery, and Tori Tomo Restaurant. Two restaurants, the first serving Thai food, and the second serving Japanese Ramen, are attached, and customers can order from either or both menus, as well as from our full bar.
Bartenders are expected to know both menus, as well as the drink menu to give guests the best experience.
We are currently looking to fill a number of positions, and are looking for bartenders with experience in high volume, and fast paced working environments.
Bartenders have the ability to be creative, create drinks for the menu as well as for specials.
Bartenders must be okay with taking tables, and having a serving shift from time to time.
Shifts are 11am-4pm or 4pm-Aprox. 10pm (we close at 9pm S,M,T,Th and 10pm F,S and are closed on Wednesdays), and there is a shift differential for lunch, and bartender shifts. We are looking for someone to bartend 2-3 shifts a week consistently, with the opportunity to pick up. Weekend availability is required.
Lunch shifts typically involve bartending and serving tables. Any candidates must be comfortable with the hybrid bartending and serving role.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Take guests at the bar, as well as serve the tables around the bar.
- Make drinks for all tables.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Manage cash handling, cashiering, and basic math calculations accurately during transactions
- Know common cocktails, and create special and unique drinks for customers.
- Maintain food safety standards by adhering to sanitation and food handling protocols
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and supporting colleagues when needed.
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly and resolving issues professionally
- Support team members in maintaining a clean, organized dining area aligned with sanitation guidelines
- Open and close the restaurant, completing any prep tasks, cleaning tasks, or closing tasks that may be needed.
Experience
- At least 1+ years bartending in a fast paced restaurant.
- At least 1+ years bartending in a space with a focus on craft cocktails.
- At least 2+ years general restaurant and serving experience.
- Experience working in a high paced, fast environment.
- Ability to work as the only bartender on, or to work in a team.
- Familiarity with POS systems, we use Lightspeed.
- Strong time management skills to handle busy service periods seamlessly
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Background in hospitality or guest services that emphasizes excellent customer relations
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, billing, and sales transactions effectively
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
