Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly with a friendly and professional demeanor, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive
- Manage reservation bookings and waitlists efficiently TOAST TABLES
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring comfort and satisfaction throughout their dining experience
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to coordinate seating flow and special requests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting areas to uphold the restaurant’s upscale standards
- Answer phone inquiries with excellent phone etiquette, providing accurate information about reservations and wait times
- Assist with guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly, ensuring every guest feels valued and appreciated
Requirements
- Prior experience as a host or hostess in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment
- Strong food service background with knowledge of restaurant operations and guest services
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact confidently with guests and team members
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred
- Experience in hotel or hospitality settings is a plus, demonstrating adaptability in guest relations
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
- Professional appearance and polished phone etiquette to represent the restaurant’s high standards
