The Role
SLG is seeking an experienced Warehouse Coordinator to manage the day-to-day operations of our warehouse facility. In this role, you will oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of materials, tools, and equipment used by our field crews, while maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring a safe, well-organized warehouse environment. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong organizational skills who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment supporting construction operations.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and log incoming shipments of materials, tools, and equipment against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Maintain accurate, real-time inventory records using warehouse management and inventory tracking software.
- Coordinate the staging, pick-up, delivery, and return of materials and equipment to and from active job sites.
- Organize warehouse layout and storage systems to maximize efficiency, safety, and ease of retrieval.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and periodic physical inventory audits; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Track equipment maintenance and inspection schedules, and coordinate repairs or servicing as needed.
- Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment; enforce safe lifting and handling practices.
- Communicate daily with project managers, crew leads, and vendors to fulfill material requests and resolve shortages.
- Process purchase orders, manage vendor relationships, and support procurement of warehouse supplies.
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and housekeeping standards.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software.
- Valid forklift certification, or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and general computer systems.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Physical requirements
- Ability to regularly lift and carry materials and equipment up to 75 lbs, and occasionally more with assistance.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods throughout a shift.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse setting with periodic exposure to outdoor loading areas and seasonal temperatures.
- Flexibility to occasionally support extended hours during storm restoration or high-demand periods.
