Overview:
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products. This position operates a forklift and other powered equipment to safely move materials, load and unload freight, and maintain an organized and efficient warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operating a forklift and/or other powered equipment to safely unload incoming freight.
· Receive and process warehouse stock and materials, including unloading, labeling, and storing products in designated locations.
· Verify quantities of incoming products and materials against receiving and shipping documentation.
· Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup, including picking, loading, packing, wrapping, labeling, and shipping.
· Move and organize products and materials throughout the warehouse as needed.
· Participate in warehouse inventory counts according to established procedures and guidelines.
· Perform general housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
· Work cooperatively with team members and other departments to support production and warehouse needs.
Qualifications:
· Previous warehouse, manufacturing, shipping and receiving, or material-handling experience is preferred
· Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, standard work procedures, and safety requirements.
· Effective verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work safely and efficiently while maintaining established quality and productivity standards.
· Previous forklift experience is required; a current forklift license or certification is not. Company-specific training will be provided as applicable.
· Willingness to learn and perform a variety of warehouse and material-handling responsibilities
· Ability to work assigned schedules and overtime as required based on business needs.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to (50lbs) on a regular basis
· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the work shift
· Ability to frequently bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, and perform other physical movements necessary to complete assigned duties.
· Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
· Ability to safely operate and work around forklifts, powered industrial equipment, and other warehouse or manufacturing equipment.
Work Environment:
· This position is primarily performed in a factory and warehouse environment.
· Regularly working around moving machinery, forklifts, powered industrial equipment, and other material-handling equipment.
· Exposure to moderate noise levels, and typical manufacturing conditions.
· Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, steel/composite-toed footwear, and any additional PPE required for the assigned task.
· Must follow all company safety policies and procedures
