Purr'n Pooch Pet Resorts is a family owned pet care resort on the Jersey Shore. The resort has been in business for over 55 years. We are staffed 24 hours per day, 365 days a year for the care and comfort of our guests. We are hiring for part time and/or full time in both locations, Tinton Falls and Wall Township. This position requires a dependable, attentive individual who can work independently while maintaining a clean, secure, and calm environment throughout the night.
Shift 8pm-6am
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Confidence around all breeds of pets
- Dependable. We work with pets that depend on us.
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and perform physical tasks
- Previous experience in animal care or working in a pet boarding is preferred
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergency situations
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Monitor pets overnight to ensure safety, health and comfort
- Perform scheduled wellness checks and observe of illness, injury or distress
- Clean and sanitize pet areas and common spaces to maintain a healthy environment
- Respond promptly to pet emergencies and notify management
- Ensure all doors, gates and facility entrances remain secure throughout the shift
- Communicate important updates to the daytime staff during shift change
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures and animal handling protocols
