Overview
Join our restoration team in Secaucus, New Jersey, and help restore homes and businesses affected by water, fire, smoke, mold, and other property damage. We are seeking experienced, IICRC-certified Restoration Technicians who work well in fast-paced environments, prioritize safety, and provide excellent service to customers during challenging situations.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency calls involving water, flood, fire, smoke, mold, and other property damage.
- Perform water extraction, structural drying, demolition, cleaning, and remediation services.
- Inspect affected areas, take moisture readings, and help develop appropriate restoration plans.
- Install, monitor, and remove dehumidifiers, air movers, air scrubbers, and other restoration equipment.
- Use power tools and specialized restoration equipment safely and correctly.
- Follow IICRC standards, company procedures, and all applicable safety requirements.
- Wear and maintain the required personal protective equipment and respiratory protection.
- Document job progress with detailed notes, photographs, sketches, moisture readings, and equipment logs.
- Communicate professionally with customers, property managers, insurance representatives, and team members.
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport personnel, equipment, and materials to job sites.
- Maintain clean and organized company vehicles, equipment, and work areas.
- Perform mold or asbestos-related work only when properly trained, licensed, or certified.
Qualifications
- Current IICRC certification in water damage restoration, fire and smoke restoration, or another applicable restoration category is required.
- Previous experience in the restoration industry or a related construction field is required.
- Knowledge of water mitigation, structural drying, fire and smoke cleanup, mold remediation, demolition, and cleaning procedures.
- Strong understanding of job-site safety, respiratory protection, and proper PPE use.
- Ability to respond calmly and efficiently during emergency situations.
- Availability for on-call, after-hours, weekend, or emergency assignments when required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move restoration equipment and perform physically demanding work.
- Strong customer service, communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with Xactimate or other restoration documentation software is preferred.
- Additional certifications in mold remediation, asbestos abatement, or related restoration services are a plus.
Compensation
Compensation will be based on experience and current certifications.
