Beyond Behavioral Health is locally based patient centered outpatient Behavioral Health Agency serving a variety of populations from different backgrounds in ever-changing situations. We are looking for a dually licensed co-occurring therapist to join our team of superstar clinicians. You will play a vital role serving patients with complex needs by performing comprehensive mental health and substance use disorder assessments, individual therapy that is co-occurring in nature, and outpatient group facilitation. This position is full time and offers the opportunity to work in a diverse clinical setting with other cooccurring specialists, substance use disorder counselors, therapists, and nurse practitioners in a face paced, but personal and collaborative environment. Licensed associate and trainee level clinicians are encouraged to apply, and we will take care of your supervision. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate and diagnose mental health and or substance use disorders issues including those that are cooccurring.
- Develop person-centered individualized treatment plans incorporating behavioral health and addiction counseling strategies
- Provide evidence-based therapy sessions for diverse populations that can include adolescents, adults, and late-life stage adults
- Collaborate with federal, state, county, and city probation, Therapeutic Court team members, to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records, notes, and treatment progress in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Participate in continuing care evaluation and clinical staffing to ensure proper level of care placement
- Facilitate outpatient mental health and or substance use disorder group therapy sessions.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of person-centered care in an outpatient setting
- Expertise in behavioral health treatment modalities not limited to; CBT, DBT, or EMDR
- Ability to perform patient assessments effectively within fast-paced clinic environment.
- Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care and its focus
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and engaging patients across different gender ideologies, religious beliefs, and personal values
