MySpace Recovery operates structured recovery residences for individuals recovering from substance use and mental health challenges. Our men's and women's recovery residences in Norfolk, VA provide a safe, supportive environment where residents can focus on rebuilding their lives.
Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable individual to serve as the Live-In House Manager for our men's and women's recovery residences. The ideal candidate is someone in long-term recovery who can provide leadership, structure, and accountability in the home. This is a live-in position with the flexibility to hold a separate day job. Certification as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Live in the house and serve as the main point of contact for all residents.
- Ensure all residents attend daily treatment groups and follow house rules.
- Conduct weekly house meetings to address concerns, updates, and support.
- Provide peer support and help maintain a positive recovery environment.
- Handle minor conflicts or issues and report major incidents to Leadership.
- Conduct evening curfew checks and ensure overnight structure is maintained.
Requirements
- Minimum of 12 months of continuous sobriety and lived experience in recovery.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to live on-site and be present overnight.
- Certification as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) is preferred but not required.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification is preferred but not required.
- Can work a second job during the day as long as house responsibilities are covered.
Compensation
- Free room and board.
- Starting at $500 per month.
- Compensation will be reviewed after the first 3 months of employment based on performance and continued fit for the role.
