Scientist I – Medical Device Testing

Are you an early-career scientist looking to grow your experience in the medical device industry? We're seeking a Scientist I to join an innovative R&D team supporting test method development, experimental testing, and data analysis for medical device products. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a Biology or Chemistry background who enjoys hands-on laboratory work, problem-solving, and working in a collaborative environment.
What You'll Do
- Execute laboratory experiments and testing to support medical device research and development.
- Assist with test method development, validation, and optimization.
- Collect, analyze, and summarize experimental data.
- Perform statistical analysis using tools such as Minitab.
- Support Design of Experiments (DOE) activities and data interpretation.
- Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks, reports, and technical documentation.
- Develop technical reports and contribute to presentations and internal documentation.
- Perform routine laboratory techniques and testing under established procedures.
- Assist with equipment maintenance, qualification activities (IQ/OQ), and laboratory organization.
- Order laboratory supplies and support inventory management.
- Follow all laboratory safety procedures, SOPs, and quality system requirements.
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related Engineering or Science field.
- 2+ years of experience in the medical device industry.
- Experience supporting laboratory testing and scientific documentation.
- Experience with test method development.
- Working knowledge of Minitab, statistical analysis, and Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting project deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience maintaining laboratory notebooks and technical reports.
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical device testing experience.
- Experience using Design-Expert or similar DOE software.
- Knowledge of scientific method and statistical analysis techniques.
- Experience with documentation requirements in regulated environments.
- Hands-on laboratory experience supporting product development.

Important Requirements
