Duties
- Perform diagnostics on vehicles using advanced automotive diagnostic tools and schematics to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, powertrains, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to complete repairs efficiently and safely.
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical and mechanical problems.
- Repair or replace components such as transmissions, powertrain parts, and electrical systems while adhering to manufacturer specifications.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, offering recommendations for vehicle maintenance, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software, schematics reading, and electrical systems troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is preferred but not required.
- Mechanical knowledge of transmissions, powertrains, wheel alignments, and vehicle (especially) electrical systems.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical devices safely and effectively.
- Valid mechanic certification or relevant technical training is highly desirable (ASE, I-CAR, or willingness to get certifications).
- Knowledge of auto estimating processes and experience working with automotive service management software is a plus.

- Ideally, you are a Master Tech, but not required
- State credentials must be up to date
