Engineering Manager, Agent Studio
Snapshot: $250K–$320K base + equity · San Francisco · Hybrid (3+ days) · Visa sponsorship available · 3–8 yrs technical (incl. 1+ yr management)
THE OPPORTUNITY
Our client is a fast-growing AI company (~220 people, founded 2020, $70M raised) building autonomous AI agents that automate the non-calling, non-creative work of sales reps — with customers reporting 2–3x productivity gains. You'll lead a 0 1 team building agents for their Agent Studio. Note: this is a hands-on role — technical depth, product sense, and customer empathy matter far more than org-building.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead a 0 1 team building autonomous AI agents. Spend ~80% of your time writing code, on customer calls, or hiring. Own product direction from customer feedback. Embed directly with enterprise customers (Slack + calls). Manage and mentor ~3 engineers. Build agents across the full sales-rep workflow. Own deployment outcomes and customer revenue metrics.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
First 90 days: ship agent improvements and get close to customers. First year: build and scale a high-impact agent team and product line.
MUST-HAVES
3–8 years full-stack/product engineering (incl. 1+ year management); experience building and shipping production AI agents at a high-bar company; strong Python/TypeScript/Node.js; product sense and customer empathy.
NICE-TO-HAVES
Founding/early-engineer or CTO background in AI-native sales/outbound automation; prompt-engineering and LLM-agent depth.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
$250K–$320K base (USD), competitive equity. Visa sponsorship available.
LOCATION & WORK MODEL
Hybrid in San Francisco, 3+ days in office.
