Wilma’s Famous Jerk is seeking a dependable, organized, and hardworking Food Prep/Dishwasher to support our busy kitchen team. This position combines food-preparation responsibilities with dishwashing, cleaning, and general kitchen support. The ideal candidate is comfortable staying active, following recipes and instructions, and helping wherever needed to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Wash, cut, chop, slice, and portion vegetables and other ingredients
- Assist with preparing, portioning, and storing side dishes
- Prepare eggrolls, pizzas, and other menu items for service
- Follow recipes, portion standards, prep lists, and instructions from kitchen leadership
- Label, date, rotate, and properly store all prepared food
- Monitor prep levels and communicate when ingredients or supplies are running low
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, trays, and kitchen equipment
- Keep the dishwashing area clean, safe, and organized
- Return clean dishes and equipment to their proper storage areas
- Empty trash and maintain clean floors, sinks, prep tables, and storage areas
- Assist with receiving, organizing, and putting away deliveries when needed
- Complete assigned opening, closing, cleaning, and side-work duties
- Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and cross-contamination procedures
- Assist cooks and other kitchen team members as needed

- Dependable, punctual, and able to follow directions
- Comfortable performing both food-prep and dishwashing duties
- Able to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced kitchen
- Detail-oriented and committed to cleanliness and food quality
- Able to safely use knives and basic kitchen equipment
- Willing to take initiative and remain productive throughout the shift
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies as needed
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Previous restaurant or food-preparation experience is preferred but not required

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
