Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items according to company standards
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and other payment methods with attention to detail and proper cash handling procedures
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries or concerns promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in all food preparation and serving areas
- Assist with food handling, basic food preparation, and serving duties to ensure quality presentation and safety compliance
- Manage retail math tasks such as calculating totals, giving correct change, and balancing cash drawers at shift end
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or café experience demonstrating knowledge of coffee preparation and food service techniques
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail transactions, and inventory management
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
- Retail sales experience is a plus, along with familiarity in the food industry or food service environment
