Class A Port Driver (1099 Contractor)
We are seeking experienced Class A Port Drivers for day and night shifts. Drivers will transport freight within port facilities safely and efficiently. A valid TWIC card is required. This is a 1099 independent contractor position with pay per load.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers within port facilities.
- Transport various freight, including containers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers.
- Perform load and unload activities as needed.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Maintain accurate logs and required paperwork.
- Follow DOT regulations and all safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and port personnel.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
- Valid TWIC card required.
- Port driving experience preferred.
- Experience with tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, or tankers is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and safely in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation
- 1099 Independent Contractor position.
