The Speech Pathology Group & Rehab Services of CT (SPGCT) is growing and looking for a passionate Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our school-based therapy team in Connecticut.
This is a great opportunity for a pediatric OT/COTA who enjoys working directly with students, collaborating with educators and other related service providers, and making a meaningful impact in a school environment. Full-time and part-time opportunities may be available.

Responsibilities
School-Based OT/COTA responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing occupational therapy services to students based on their individual educational and therapeutic needs
- Conducting evaluations and administering appropriate standardized assessments, as applicable
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment goals and plans of care
- Supporting students with fine motor, visual motor, sensory processing, self-help, activities of daily living, self-regulation, and functional school-based skills
- Planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate therapy sessions
- Collaborating with teachers, school staff, families, and other related service providers
- Providing parent, caregiver, and staff education and training when appropriate
- Completing timely and accurate documentation and billing
- Monitoring student progress and making appropriate recommendations
- Adapting therapy approaches to meet the needs of individual students and classroom environments
- Participating in department, school, and OT staff meetings as appropriate
- Maintaining effective communication with students, families, school personnel, and SPGCT staff
- Ensuring student health, safety, dignity, and well-being at all times
- Participating in multidisciplinary collaboration to support the whole child
Requirements
- Current Connecticut OT or COTA state license
- AOTA/NBCOT certification, as applicable
- Must meet all professional requirements and rules of professional conduct for an Occupational Therapist/COTA
- Maintain required licensure, certifications, and continuing education
- Pediatric experience preferred; minimum 1 year of pediatric experience required
- School-based experience is a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Creativity, flexibility, and a passion for working with children

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
