Pathway Homes has an immediate opening for a full-time (40 hr./week) Assistant Property Manager based in Fairfax, VA
We are a nonprofit, community-based organization providing housing and supportive services to adults with disabilities. We provide scattered site housing in the Northern Virginia area.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
< Assists with identifying, securing, and leasing affordable units within approved locations and Fair Market Rent limits.
< Supports execution of corporate lease agreements, ensuring accuracy and minimizing financial or liability risks
< Facilitates communication with landlords, HOAs, vendors, and community partners.
< Assists with invoice tracking, vendor documentation, payment coordination, and provides timely reporting to accounting and other departments.
< Verifies required renters’ insurance and coordinate updates related to tenant moves.
< Conducts and documents unit inspections and ensures appropriate follow-up.
< Supports vendor coordination, including unit access and directory maintenance.
< Assists with delivery of tenant notices and general oversight of unit maintenance, furnishings, vendor recruitment, and upkeep.
< Monitors and responds to communications related to leasing and tenant/landlord concerns, escalating issues appropriately.
< Collaborates with internal teams and partner agencies to promote tenant housing stability.
< Assists tenants during routine and relocation moves, coordinating logistics.
< Rotating On-Call responsibilities outside regular business hours.
Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent and excellent customer service skills. Minimum 3 years property management and 1 year of supervisory experience. Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently. Basic knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and VA landlord-tenant rights and responsibilities. Computer proficiency including functional knowledge of MS Office and Yardi or similar property management software. Valid current driver’s license and own dependable vehicle. Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Salary: $62,400
Schedule: Monday- Friday (rotating on-call on weekends and holidays)
