Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Medical Surgical
Location: Rochester, NY 14621
Duration: 13-Week Contract
Schedule: 3x12 Days/Nights| Every Other Weekend
Pay Range: $1500 - $1700/Wk approx
Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide direct patient care in an acute care Medical-Surgical unit while working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include medication administration, patient assessments, wound care, specimen collection, telemetry monitoring, documentation in EPIC, and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Qualifications:
- Active New York State LPN License required (no pending licenses).
- Current BLS Certification required.
- Minimum 2 years of recent Acute Care Medical-Surgical experience.
- Ability to manage an independent patient assignment with RN support.
- Experience with medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, Foley catheter insertion, oxygen therapy, and 12-lead EKGs.
- EPIC EMR experience required.
- Comfortable floating to other units within skill set as needed.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
