Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Metal Fabricator / Welder to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw metal materials into precise, high-quality components and assemblies that meet strict specifications and industry standards. Your expertise in various welding techniques, blueprint reading, and mechanical fabrication will be essential to delivering exceptional results on construction projects, manufacturing tasks, and custom fabrication orders. Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyze mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements.
- Perform welding using MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas),techniques according to AWS (American Welding Society) standards.
- Cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other metal components utilizing plasma cutters, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment.
- Measure materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, shop math skills, and other measuring instruments to ensure accurate fabrication
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to OSHA regulations, ASME codes & standards, and company safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members on construction site projects or manufacturing tasks requiring mechanical knowledge and fabrication expertise.
- Use forklifts and other material handling equipment safely to transport heavy materials within the shop or on-site.
- Assist in troubleshooting fabrication issues and recommend improvements for efficiency and quality.
Experience
- Proven construction site experience or manufacturing background in metal fabrication environments.
- Hands-on experience with MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, SMAW.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, interpreting schematics, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and machining tools.
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards for pressure vessels or piping systems is a plus.
- Experience working with sheet metal fabrication, ductwork assembly, pipe threading, rigging operations, and mechanical fabrication processes.
- Ability to perform shop math accurately for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Construction experience or working on construction sites is highly desirable.
- Valid certification in welding or related trades from recognized organizations such as AWS is preferred but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided if necessary.

Pay: $25.89 - $31.17 per hour
