Position Summary
We are seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist to provide direct support services in a residential behavioral health setting. This position works with individuals receiving mental health services while promoting daily living skills, emotional wellness, and positive behavioral outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct behavioral health support and skill development.
- Assist with daily activities and implementation of individualized service plans.
- Monitor client progress and document services provided.
- Support a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
- Communicate with team members regarding client progress and needs.
- Complete documentation in accordance with program requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet one of the following:
- High school diploma or GED with at least three (3) years of professional mental health experience, or
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Sociology, Human Services, or a related behavioral health field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in behavioral health, residential care, or human services.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to complete required background screenings.
