We have an immediate opening for an entry level machine operator. This is an opportunity to learn to effectively run production machines in a fast-paced shop environment. This person will be trained by an experienced machine operator and will have opportunities to ask questions and learn. This is a unique opportunity for the interested candidate.
Our shop environment is safety sensitive and as such we maintain a drug free workplace, we do require pre-employment drug testing, including testing for marijuana.
Job Type: This is a 40 hour per week position + overtime
Day Shift: Monday thru Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM
Night Shift: Monday thru Thursday, 2:30 PM to 1 AM (10% Pay Differential)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Communicate effectively (spoken and written) to managers
Operate your machine and run production parts
Measure parts with supplied inspection equipment (we train)
Monitor productivity and count parts that you run
Keep your area clean, tidy, and organized
Show your parts to co-workers for First Article Inspection
Learn to operate new equipment as asked
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Ability to listen and learn
Legible handwriting
Simple arithmetic and math skills
Excellent communication, ability to work well with others
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Strong attention to detail
Basic mechanical understanding is recommended
Ability to stand for the duration of your shift
Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug tests (Drug Free Workplace)
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Education/Experience:
High School diploma or (GED); OR one to three months related experience or training
