Duties:
- Administer IV infusion therapyies and injectables to patients with rare, chronic and acute diseases within the infusion suite.
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding infusion therapy
- Perform sterile processing of equipment and maintain infection control standards
- Proficiency in accessing and maintaining PICC lines/implanted ports while maintaining proper infection control measures.
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and coding
Skills:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of two years of critical care/ER or oncology experience is preferred.
- Mininum of one year of recent infusion experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and sterile processing techniques
- Familiarity with IV infusion therapy protocols and equipment
