Matrix Pointe Software ("Matrix") implements case management and investigative software for law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, and public safety organizations across the country. Our clients include police departments, sheriff's offices, state investigative agencies, and licensing boards, and our implementation team works alongside them through every stage of the process — from configuration and training to go-live and beyond. This position is in our Westlake, Ohio office. Travel is required.
Job Objective:
This is a high-impact, client-facing role assisting with complex software implementations for state, local, and federal government agencies. As a software implementation specialist, you will assist during the full implementation lifecycle, from contract signing through go-live and early adoption. You will conduct business analysis of client operations, configure the system to meet each client’s needs, assist with data conversions and integrations, conduct testing, and deliver training. You will also have opportunities to collaborate with Matrix software engineers and business intelligence analysts to shape new product features, providing a unique opportunity to influence the direction of the software you implement.
Matrix currently has openings on the Matrix Police/Investigator team.
Responsibilities:
- Support end-to-end software implementations from kickoff, discovery, analysis, and planning through configuration, testing, training, go-live, and stabilization.
- Analyze clients’ existing processes and operational workflows, and translate client needs into system configurations and development specifications.
- Assist with implementation meetings, project plans, milestones tracking, and maintaining clear communication with clients and internal teams.
- Collaborate across engineering, design, business intelligence, and product teams on data conversion, integrations, testing, and new feature development.
- Assist with training, issue resolution, go-live preparation, and early adoption to help ensure a successful implementation experience.
Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position
- Bachelor’s degree; Degree in criminal justice, management or computer information systems, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in field preferred, preferably in the criminal justice system (law enforcement, prosecution, defense, courts), computer information systems or management information systems
- Ability to work individually with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- High level of commitment to exceptional customer service and relationship building
- A genuine interest in helping public-sector clients succeed
- Excellent communication and customer engagement skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, training, and go-live support
