Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and personable Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team! Duties
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits, following established recipes and standards.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to enhance their overall experience and foster repeat business.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Develop new beverage recipes and contribute creative ideas to enhance the bar menu.
- Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies as needed, and communicate with management about stock requirements.
- Handle cash processing, cashiering duties, and reconcile sales at the end of each shift.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service during busy periods or special events like banquets or catering functions.
- Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by checking IDs and recognizing signs of intoxication.
- Assist in bar management tasks when needed, including scheduling or training new team members.
Experience
- Proven experience as a bartender in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment, preferably with fine dining or banquet experience.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing.
- Demonstrated expertise in mixology, beverage recipe development, wine knowledge, craft beer experience, and spirits expertise.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively while managing multiple orders simultaneously.
- Familiarity with food handling procedures, food safety standards, and proper sanitation practices.
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts using strong organizational skills.
- Previous experience working with beverage menus that include cocktails, wine pairings, brewing techniques, and catering services is highly desirable.
