Job Summary
Current priority hire is Monday-Wednesday Morning 5:45-7:30 and 9-3 or 5 overnight 9 PM to 4 AM @ $60. ALL CANDIDATES RESERVE ONE OVERNIGHT
We’re seeking kind, reliable, actionable individuals to assist a creative and resilient person with daily tasks. This flexible, part-time role is open to anyone willing to learn and contribute meaningfully. Ideal candidates are creative, compassionate, and value open communication.
The Collective Care and Social Impact Team
includes 2 Producers, Regulatory strategist, DP etc. Originally from an Engineering/Orchestral background, I’m a published Screenwriter and musical composer. Now I’ve created products to make my life easier. I serve on the board for two nonprofits and hold an RIA, CPA, law staff, manage investments, etc. I’ve moved my mind to value people, skills, assets — not money and dollars follow.
Alongside this work I founded , a disability-led nonprofit research and innovation initiative based in Austin. EdenLab explores universal design, care infrastructure, creative production, and applied social impact work — particularly through disability-led design thinking.
Opportunities around nonprofit work: creative production, student ambassador roles, research collaboration, and helping build systems that allow people to own and produce meaningful work in their own lives.

About this Dynamic Role
Within the normal flow of a creative day, this role requires a calm and reliable presence, providing brief (10–15 minute) support for a catheterization program — when directed to assist with catheterization, ensuring hygiene and safety, and offering steady, respectful space during a vulnerable task.
During non medical tasks other activities may include participation on nonprofit activities:
Research opps, production, editing, operations, Elab, administration, prototype engineering
Narrative architecture, documentary realism, run & gun shoots — assist in producing the first ever Dis Girl Adapts the Universe. “A bubbly Wacky inventor” always on the verge.
Additionally you are a person who can shift social dynamics easily between care focus and social self and does not feel discomfort in silence.

Who We’re Looking For
Caregiving is a partnership where we work together to sustain health, independence and joy. It is also surprisingly tremendously straightforward, teachable, and something ANYONE can do/be/learn.
We are a queer-friendly household. Social impact driven. Filmmakers, PHD students, Therapists, Musicians, Remote workers, Nursing students, Social Work students, prototype engineers, expansive thinkers, Digital Nomads and compassionate individuals are encouraged to apply.
Austin students and researchers curious about disability-led design, filmmaking, social impact, or real-world problem solving often find this environment particularly interesting.
⸻m o r e
I do not wear a badge of stress around the disability. I am a human living life in an injured body that now requires the helpful hands of others to sustain.
In 2020 I was hit by a car alongside four others while walking across a crosswalk. It was my senior year of college and I’m still trying to figure out so much to be fully participatory in society.
I need people who are relatively fast paced and efficient to have optimal agency in my work and personal life.
I make beautiful things happen around me — paralyzed from the chest down without hand function — and this is what I would like to share with the world, not this sad and limiting idea around disability. It’s tired. Ive only ever viewed this perspective as an additional one to offer the world. As would you had the same circumstances fallen.
I’ve lived in ATX for 14 years and I have an Italian greyhound named lentil Bean. I’m curly with pazZzaz at 108 lbs; I love gardening and making things and living..
I am an actionable person doing what I love in an injured body that now needs the helpful hands of others to sustain.
Regardless,
“I am the director and manager of my own PERSON and care. I’m not a business.”
I’m conscientious and have the autonomy to collaborate with others and if you’re the right fit, we BOTH view it this way.
